Guests will drink and compare three types of matcha as usucha (thin tea), while eating dried sweets. After an explanation of matcha and chanoyu, guests will practice part of the tea ceremony with tea utensils. Guests will enter the tea room through the tea garden and enjoy a cup of usucha (thin tea).

The class is generally held on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, starting at 10:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. The class schedule can be arranged in advance by e-mail. Your reservation will be completed when you make a deposit to PayPal or my account. The location is Nagaokakyo-shi, Kyoto, and the duration of the workshop is approximately 90 minutes. Up to 3 people can participate at the same time.

Participants must be at least 17 years old.

    Guests will drink and evaluate three different types of matcha. This will be followed by a brief explanation of matcha and chanoyu.
    Using tea utensils, guests will practice some aspects of odenmae, guest behavior, and how to use a water bowl.

    Guests will enter the tea room through the tea garden to observe the tea ceremony. Enjoy dry confectionery and usucha (thin tea), and also prepare usucha.
